About

👋🏻 Hi, I’m Shreekar.

I’m a software engineer based in Pune, building distributed systems and AI systems that are reliable, resilient, and production-ready.

I’m particularly interested in workflow + agents orchestration (Temporal), event-driven architectures, and designing systems that don’t break under real-world constraints.

Work #

I’ve worked across both 0 to 1 builds and end-to-end production systems.

At Atlan, I worked on distributed systems powering a Microsoft Teams Marketplace integration - building microservices, handling cross-cloud infra (AWS + Azure), and designing event-driven systems using Kafka. I also spent time making systems more reliable (and less memory-hungry).

At Attack Capital (YC W22), I built AI systems from scratch - including real-time voice AI interviewers and distributed backend systems with queues, workers, retries, and async pipelines.

Proof of Work #

A few systems I’ve built end-to-end:

Insura AI
An AI system for insurance workflows built on workflow orchestration using Temporal. It processes complex documents through durable pipelines and uses a hybrid GraphRAG system for retrieval. Designed to be fault-tolerant, resumable, and source-traceable.

Workflow Automation
An event-driven workflow automation system with triggers, webhooks, and async workers. Built with a distributed architecture using queues and worker processes to ensure reliable execution of multi-step workflows, along with AI-powered templates.

Across all of this, the common thread is building systems that are durable, observable, and fault-tolerant by design.

Not Work #

Lately, I’ve been:

  • Reading Designing Data-Intensive Applications by Martin Kleppmann
  • Thinking about agentic systems and long-running workflows
  • Exploring how LLMs fit into real production systems (beyond demos)
  • Breaking down complex systems into simple, clear mental models
